      General Motors geared up to establish a solid ground in the country with its numerous features laden Chevy Sail U-VA

      General Motors, the well known American auto maker, is all set to introduce its much hyped Chevrolet Sail U-VA model in the festive season of this year. The model was officially exhibited at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo, which was scheduled in January this year. Industry experts believe that the upcoming model will house a similar engine which is doing a great job in Beat; 1.2 litre, churning out a peak power around 78 bhp. The fact indicates that the model will be placed in premium segment and thus, it will compete against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ritz, Swift, Hyundai i20 and Fiat Grande Punto.

      The yet-to-be launched Chevy Sail U-VA is bundled with some captivating additions in its overall package, of which the interior styling scores the maximum points on style meter. The brand new premium hatch boasts of Corvette inspired Dual Cockpit design with charming dual tone interiors, besides flaunting its dual-port chrome grille and a gold Chevrolet bowtie. Further, the Rising Sun Style Instrument cluster installed in the car gives it a much needed space amongst its counterparts in the Indian auto market. The Sail U-VA is a genuine head turning material with ultra modern headlamps, fog lamps and the ultra sporty 12 spoke 14 inch alloy wheels.

      As per company claims, the 2012 Chevrolet Sail U-VA incorporates a 1.3 litre Diesel Smartech engine that rolls out an impressive fuel efficiency of 22.1 kmpl, besides delivering best-in-class power and torque performance. Further, the petrol variant of Sail U-VA is powered by Smartech engine as well and is believed to be of 1.2 litre make.

      Coming to comfort and convenience options, the new Sail U-VA is spot on, with a number of thoughtful and impeccable additions, such as 4 door power windows and power adjustable Outside Rear View Mirrors (ORVMs). Further, the American auto major has laced its new car with a number of first-in-class attributes like remote fuel filler and an enticing tailgate. General Motors' claims the soon-to-be launched Sail U-VA to be the most versatile and valuable proposition for domestic buyers, in terms of comfort and convenience features.

      The General Motors' engineers have trimmed the new Sail U-VA with several state-of-the-art security measures in its package. For instance, the car has been calibrated to ensure superior high speed stability and comfortability along with optimized suppression during suppressing roll-overs and emergency braking. The car has been engineered with a ‘Safe Cage’ structure that redistributes up to 80 per cent of the force in event of front impact with its three point resistance frame, thereby preventing amassed force from entering the interior cabin. Further, the centrally mounted fuel tank significantly brings down the risk in events of front or side impact.

      Interestingly, the Chevy Sail U-VA also features collapsible steering wheel coupled with speed sensitive autolock, which offers superior control in both normal and demanding situations. The company claims the new car to have been designed for unmatched safety with a whole gamut of safety attributes, such as dual airbags, remote key-less entry, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) along with child protection rear door locks.

      The upcoming Sail U-VA hatch is adept at catering to the family oriented needs and requirements of Indian consumers with its best-in-class interior cabin and boot space. The ‘Smart Space Utilization’ offers an uninhibited panoramic view of outside to the occupants of the car, besides ensuring ample head room, leg room with maximum space and comfort. Further, the thoughtfully designed ‘Flex Flat’, a 60:40 Folding RR seats with central mounted fuel tank design entails the Sail U-VA to boast of an amazing boot space of 1,134 litres - the best in segment. The capacious design makes the car ideal for long drives and short weekend trips, thereby ensuring great fun for the entire family.

      A luring factor offered within the new model is its interior decor and trim levels.
