Force Motors Gurkha

Summary

Force launched the on-sale three-door Gurkha in September 2021, and now it is claimed to

be working on a five-door version of its off-road SUV. In fact, the five-door Gurkha prototype

has been spotted undergoing tests with hardly any camouflage. That said, the carmaker is

expected to introduce the new five-door Gurkha sometime in 2023.

Exterior

As per spy photographs, the five-door Gurkha test model appears identical to the three-door

Gurkha in terms of exterior design. However, it is noticeably longer, has boxy door windows,

and a distinctive front end. Besides this, the five-door Gurkha might get additional features

over the current Gurkha, such as front and rear wheel disc brakes, heavy-duty front and rear

bumpers, 17- or 18-inch tyres, and more.

Interior

Inside, the three-door Gurkha gets a plain vanilla cabin and the upcoming five-door model

could carry a similar styling. Having said that, Force is expected to offer a refreshed cabin

with a few updated features, such as multiple airbags, an analogue instrument cluster with

an integrated MID, an upgraded touchscreen infotainment system, manually operated air

conditioning, and a mechanical hand brake.

Engine and transmission

The three-door Gurkha is powered by a 2.6-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine paired with only

a manual gearbox. However, the details about the powertrain for the five-door model are

unavailable yet.
