The much awaited MPV (multi-purpose vehicle), Evalia from the Japanese auto giant Nissan’s bandwagon has finally arrived Indian shores with a competitive price tag of Rs. 8.49 lakh to Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex- showroom Delhi). Nissan Motor Company has made a nationwide launch of this seven seater MUV in four variants - XE, XE+, XL and XV, while the region wise launch will commence from Bangalore and Mumbai today.
Nissan Evalia dons an elegantly poised appeal with boxy design aesthetics implemented on the rear end. The interiors however, have been sculpted to provide best in class comfort and space for both the passengers and the luggage. Evalia boasts a vast storage space of 2,100 litres, which can be further boosted to 2,900 litres when the middle seats are folded.
Evalia is offered with a power packed 1461cc K9K diesel engine capable of outpouring a top power of 85PS along with a top torque of 200 Nm working in tandem with a five-speed manual transmission. As the figures stated by ARAI, Nissan Evalia offers a mileage of 19.3 kmpl showcasing 50 percent greater fuel efficacy in comparison to its top contenders in the Indian auto market like Mahindra Xylo, Maruti Ertiga and Toyota Innova.
Further, the monocoque construction incorporated in Nissan Evalia has benefitted it in attaining lower kerb weight resulting in accelerating from a standstill to 60km/h in just 12.7 seconds.
Nissan Evalia MPV embodies contemporary features such as ABS, airbags, Power steering, EBD with brake assist, central locking, rear AC vents, music system, fog lamps, 15 inch alloy wheels, push button start, ORVMs and front power windows.
