The most exciting thing about the yet-to-be launched 2013 Santa Fe premium SUV is that it will come trimmed with Hyundai's latest Fluidic design character in its DNA. The South Korean auto major unveiled the new seven seater Santa Fe to global audience at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. The premium SUV managed great reviews and comments from top automobile industry critics and experts at the LA auto salon.

Coming to under-the-hood specifications, the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe premium SUV is anticipated to come fitted with an incredibly powerful 2.2 litre, 2199 cc, diesel power-mill. The 2.2 litre powertrain could roll out an astounding peak power output close to 195 bhp along with a maximum torque delivery around 420 Nm. The small but powerful engine could definitely help Hyundai in challenging the market dominance of Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour in the country.

Hyundai Santa Fe competes against the likes of Honda CR-V, Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Mahindra Rexton, Nissan X-Trail, Mitsubishi's Pajero Sport and Outlander, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Chevrolet Captiva in the premium SUV segment of Indian market. The South Korean auto major offers its Santa Fe model to domestic consumers at price tags between Rs. 23 lakhs and Rs. 26 lakhs. It would be great to see if the upcoming 2013 Santa Fe is launched with no excess price increase, which could certainly help HMIL in recording some decent unit sales in the country.
