Tata Avinya

Tata Motors unveiled the Avinya EV – an all-electric concept vehicle in April 2022. This model uses a new-gen platform developed by the brand and is likely to go on sale sometime in 2025. 

The Avinya EV boasts futuristic and smoothed-surface design language. It features the ‘T’-shaped, full-length horizontal light bar at the front and rear – defining Tata Motors’ new brand identity. The electric vehicle also gets side view cameras acting as ORVMs. Besides this, the Avinya EV will be 4.3 metres in length. 

Tata has developed this new third-generation electric-only architecture for a variety of EVs in the future. Avinya will be the first to utilise the platform. Moreover, it provides extra in-cabin space for the passengers. 

Although most carmakers are focusing on providing large displays in their cars, Tata has incorporated a small widescreen display into the steering wheel. The uncluttered interior design features almost no switches because Tata has emphasised the voice command system. Besides this, it comes with a dashboard-mounted soundbar, speakers integrated into the headrests, a full-glass roof, rotating front seats, and more. 

As the new platform has the space to accommodate a large battery pack, the Avinya EV will have a minimum travel range of 500km with rapid charging support.
