Yamaha is all set to bring its new presentation – the all new YZF-R3. The R3 has created much of hype due to its smart appearance and sharp features. This mean machine is powered by a fuel injection system and gets a power boost over the R25. It has been provided with a displacement of 321 cc, and comes with a price tag of 4990 USD. It has been rumoured to have segment-leading power and adds to the already sturdy line-up of sports bikes. It is capable of competing against the best of 250 to 300 cc models. It can be expected to be available with dealers by January 2015.
The model is capable of producing 42 PS of peak power, which is quite a number in this segment. Also, the model produces a peak torque of 27 Nm, which is higher than the R25. An important thing is that the model takes heads-on with the Ninja 300 with its torque number. The power output is also capable of taking on heavyweights like Honda CBR300R.
In this aspect, it is clear that Honda is ready to go to the next level of biking. In introducing the R3, it has shown its intentions to take biking ahead of the 150-200 cc segments. If the R3 becomes successful in the market, then it is expected that more such bikes will be produced from this popular two-wheeler manufacturer.
