      Benelli in partnership with DSK, all set to launch superbikes in India

      Bikes are a severe weak point of people round the globe. The immense craze for superbikes in India has brought about a stir in the Indian market. The reason for the same being, the world famous superbike company Benelli, after being owned by Qianjiang (a Chinese motor group) has now proclaimed to step into the Indian territory ushering a technical partnership with India’s Pune based motor wheel company, DSK Motowheels.

      By means of this partnership, Benelli will launch a range of five superbikes in India whose range will vary in between 300 cc to 1130 cc. Pune-based DSK group already owns a strong partnership with a South Korean firm named Hyosung. This partnership also possesses the deal of manufacturing superbikes in India.

      Benelli is a well reputed firm from Italy, established about 103 years ago. Along with the superbikes, this firm has also planned to gift the Indian masses with a motorcycle range. However, this effort is intended to gain popularity in the world’s largest two-wheeler market, India.

      As far as the manufacturing of the superbikes is concerned, the parts of this vehicle will come to India in knocked down parts, directly from the highly equipped plants of Benelli located in Italy and China. Thereafter, the parts will be assembled at Wai in Maharashtra which is DSK Motowheel’s plant.

      It has been made clear by Benelli’s Board Director, Frank Zuang that the firm desires to establish a long-term hold in the two-wheeler market of India. Post the superbike venture, the firm is further planning of extend their area of reach by introducing a wide range of products in India. The company also plans to analyse and review the Indian market and also assures to add local content to the products as and when required. DSK Motowheels has invested a sum of Rs. 100 crore at Wai for this venture.
