      Tata Motors gets new additions to top management; Ranjit Yadav and Neeraj Garg

      Tata Motors, India's largest auto company, has recruited new President for its Passenger Car Business Unit (PCBU), Ranjit Yadav. The auto maker has also roped in Neeraj Garg as the company's Vice President for Commercial in PCBU. Prior to Garg, R. Ramakrishnan was serving as the Vice President, Commercial in PCBU and has been now shifted to the same post in company's Commercial Vehicles Business Unit (CVBU). Ramakrishnan joined Tata Motors as a Graduate Engineer Trainee in 1985 and since then has been gaining experience from the auto maker.

      Earlier, Yadav was serving with Samsung India Electronics Limited as the Country Head (India) for the Mobile and IT Businesses. Prior to this, he was working with Hewlett - Packard Asia Pacific, Philips Electronics and Pond’s India Limited. On the other hand, Garg was earlier working with Volkswagen, wherein he was appointed as the Director Sales and Marketing. He has also served Nissan Motor India Private Limited and Honda Siel Cars India Limited, which is now called as Honda Cars India Limited.

      Expressing his views on the new recruitments, Karl Slym, the Managing Director of Tata Motors, quoted, “Mr. Ranjit Yadav’s experience of leading a highly customer-centric business will bring in the outside-in perspective that we need to further evolve our Passenger Vehicles business. Mr. Neeraj Garg brings in significant domain understanding of the Indian car space and its competitive dynamics. We are happy that they will spearhead our aggressive plans in the high-potential market that India is. We are also happy to have Mr. Ramakrishnan’s extensive commercial vehicles experience back for our CV business to retain our traditional market dominance.”
