Among the tweaks made to the hatchback an extensively modified front fascia is included that is likely to feature newly designed head lights complemented by a redesigned front grille and a new bumper. Bonnet too also seems to have been changed a tad. Other exterior revisions have also been made to the rear profile. Rear too gets a copious change in the form of new tail gate design, newly designed tail lights and a redesigned rear bumper. Chrome finishing will also be seen on both front and rear sides. Spruced up interiors will don a restyled dashboard and new seats wrapped in new fabric.

Other than this, the range topping trim VXi may also get a new infotainment system as a standard fitment.Engine set will be retained from the current generation hatchback and the facelift variant will continue to employ the same 1.0 litre, three cylinder engine producing 68 PS of top power. Highlight of new Alto K10 will be inclusion of an AMT gearbox, hence with this the vehicle will become the cheapest automatic car in India. Maruti Suzuki India is likely to add more variants to the new Alto range. The tweaked Alto K10 variant is expected to go on sale early next year around January. In its segment, the vehicle will take on the likes of Hyundai Eon, Chevrolet Spark and Datsun GO.
