The much awaited YRA hatchback from Maruti Suzuki has been the talk of town lately. The automaker finally revealed that the upcoming new hatchback shall be rechristened as ‘Baleno’. The premium hatchback is expected to be launched around the festive season this year and shall be sold via the newly launched NEXA outlets. The first glimpse of the vehicle is likely to be revealed at 66th Frankfurt Motor Show that shall be held in September.
The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Baleno hatchback is likely to be available in petrol as well as diesel variants. The petrol trim is likely to be powered by 1.0 Litre 3-cylinder engine, whereas the diesel trim is likely to be offered in existing 1.3 Litre engine option. On the designing aspect, the vehicle is expected to have sharper curves and halogen based headlamps that add to it charming factor.
As for safety, Maruti Suzuki shall reportedly introduce features like anti lock braking system, dual front airbags, engine immobilizer device and much more. Post launch the Maruti Suzuki’s Baleno hatchback is expected to compete with the likes of Elite i20, Tata Bolt and Honda Jazz. The company is yet to reveal more on the upcoming car and more details regarding the upcoming model shall known around the festive season.
