Honda Cars India (HCI) has already received 2, 336 bookings for the new Jazz hatchback to its dealerships ahead of its launch on July 8, 2015. The Honda Jazz will be available in five manual variants – E, S, SV, V and VX – and two CVT trims – S and V.

The new Jazz will be offered in two engine options - a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol and a 1.5-litre i-DTEC Earth Dreams diesel – that produce 90PS with 110Nm of torque and 100PS with 200Nm of torque respectively. The former is mated to a 5-speed manual and a CVT transmission (first-in- segment), while the latter gets a 6-speed manual gearbox only. The Jazz diesel is claimed to return a class-leading fuel efficiency of 27.3kmpl, while the petrol version delivers 18.7kmpl (manual) and 19kmpl (CVT).
