HMSI has also been a part of many social welfare initiatives. Recently, the company had also initiated the Helmet Awareness campaign in Tamil Nadu. Globally, road safety is Honda’s top priorities since 1970. After its inception in India in 2001, Honda initially promoted its safe riding concepts through its dealership networks. Honda continues to drive road safety awareness through free of cost training at its existing eight traffic training parks in Jaipur, Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Chandigarh, Yeola (Nashik) and most recent one in Hyderabad. Brand Honda has received encouraging response for its various initiatives that also include special initiatives for females and kids. So far, more than 1.64 lac individuals have been successfully trained at these parks.

Aimed at the women riders, Honda also launched the ‘Dream riding’ initiative. Aspiring women riders above 18 years of age just need to drop a mail with their details on the e-mail id: dreamriding@ttpdelhi.in, and can learn how to ride a two-wheeler in a single day from trained Honda female instructors in a specially designed 4 hour module. At the National Road Safety week 2015, also in association with Delhi Traffic police, Honda had empowered more than 2000 women on 2 wheeler riding at its traffic parks in Roshanara Bagh and Baba Kharak Singh Marg in New Delhi.
