Although nothing has been confirmed, but it looks as if the Indian market is set to see a bevy of Honda cars over the next few years. One of the most awaited models from this brand is going to be next-generation Honda City, which is expected to be introduced in late November. Reports suggest that the car maker has attached a lot of hopes to this model. Not only the company but experts, as well, are betting high on the success of next-generation Honda City. One major change that is going to be brought about by the company is the addition of a diesel version. Honda's Earth Dreams diesel technology, powering the i-DTEC engine, has earned acclaimed all around the globe and has been instrumental in redefining it as a brand. City sedan, even without a diesel version, has performed well in India, sustaining itself for a number of years. It is widely expected that this model is going to be a huge hit in India and could also set the benchmark in the mid-sized sedan segment.

There are a few other speculations that have been doing rounds regarding the launch of some models. Jazz model was introduced in India with a lot of expectations, something that it was not able to deliver, leading to discontinuation of the hatchback. Now, Honda, reportedly, is planning to bring back an improved version of Jazz in India as there has been some sort of growth in the segment. Industry experts feel that the key factor that will influence the success of this new hatchback is the pricing strategy adopted by Honda. Apart from this, the availability of a diesel version will also affect sales of the new hatchback. There is a lot of competition in this segment as cars like Hyundai i20 and Volkswagen Polo have been doing really well.
