Renault Duster

Model launch date: 

The new-gen Renault Duster was unveiled on 29 November. It is expected to be showcased in India in late 2024 with a launch in early 2025.  

Feature list: 

The 2024 Renault Duster gets a new exterior design, which includes a new face, wheels, and taillamps but retains the familiar Duster silhouette. Inside, Renault (Dacia) has fitted the car with dial digital displays, leatherette upholstery, and climate control with rear AC vents. We expect the India-spec car to get Level-2 ADAS, powered driver’s seat, and a HUD.  

Engine, performance, and specifications: 

The next-generation Duster for the Indian market will be powered by a 1.2-litre, mild hybrid turbo-petrol engine paired with six-speed manual and DCT units. Also expected to be offered is a 1.6-litre strong hybrid petrol engine. Both engines will get an AT option, but only the former will get a six-speed MT and an optional 4X4.  

Variants: 

The fourth-gen Duster could be offered in three variants - RXE, RXT, and RXZ. 

Safety: 

The new Duster has not been tested by an NCAP body as yet. 

Competition: 

Once launched in India, the 2024 Duster will rival the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and the MG Astor.
