Swedish auto maker, Volvo has inaugurated a new dealership in Chandigarh named Krishna Auto Sales. The new showroom is in the business block of plush Elante Mall located in the Industrial Area, Phase 2 behind LTS Hotel. Built over an area of 2200 sqft, the new showroom will keep the entire range of Volvo offered in the domestic market. A workshop area is also included in the new showroom where exquisite services will be offered like 24-hour helpline for the customers.
Currently, Volvo imports all five vehicles in India; however, looking at the immense potential in the Indian car market, the Swedish auto maker aims to increase its sales to 10,000 units within next three to four years. The launch of new vehicles in India like XC60 and S60 will help the auto maker to achieve its goal of catalyzing sales in domestic front. Moreover, the company plans on bringing these new vehicles in India through CKD route. Local assembling will be done at the company’s plant located in Karnataka which is yet under construction.
As the name suggests, the dealership will be owned by the Krishna Group that has been a part of this industry since last 47 years. Apart from the new Volvo showroom, Krishna Group also owns dealerships of Tata Motors commercial vehicles, JCB earth moving equipment, Honda two-wheelers, Skoda Auto passenger cars and BMW passenger cars.
