Toyota India today launched the 11th generation Corolla Altis in India priced at Rs 11.99 lakh for the basic petrol version and the diesel range begins at Rs 13.7 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The bookings for new Corolla Altis were open for last three months after it was showcased at the 12th Auto Expo.
All New Corolla Altis is being offered in five petrol trims– J(S), G, G-CVT, GL and VL (CVT) and four diesel trims- DJ, DJ(S), DG and DGL. New Corolla Altis has been designed in tandem with Toyota’s new global design philosophy. The company is offering a special accessory package named “The Benchmark Collection” on the renewed Corolla Altis that offers features like daytime running lights and chrome packages.
Among the exterior additions, a new radiator grille in the front, LED head lights and clearance lamps along with new design wide rear LED combination lamps are included. At the rear chrome garnish could be seen, side profile gets new 16 inch alloy wheels. Toyota has shortened the height of saloon by 5 mm enabling improved balance and aerodynamic.
Step inside the cabin and you will notice the cyber carbon piano black instrument panel cluster, a new three spoke steering wheel with Bluetooth control, a newly designed optitrion meter with illumination and chrome inside door handles. An increased wheelbase by 100 mm offers a roomier cabin, offering ample leg space to the passengers sitting at the rear. A host of new comfort features have been bestowed on the new Corolla Altis including rain sensors, navigation(Provided with “New” 7.0 LCD Touch screen and voice command enabled Audio with USB, Bluetooth, Audio), segment first rear reclining seat, rear sunshade, rear reading lamp, rear power socket, driving position has also been improved.
Powering the 11th generation sedan is the 1.8 litre VVTi gasoline motor coupled to a super CVT-i with 7 speed sequential shiftmatic with the newly introduced “Paddle Shift”. Diesel range has been packed with a 1.4 litre I 1 ND D-4D diesel powertrain with Variable Nozzle Turbo, & Intercooler paired with a 6 speed manual transmission.
Toyota has loaded refreshed Corolla with a number of preeminent safety features like Rear Camera with display audio screen, Brake Assist with EBD and ABS, Rear fog lamp on RH side, Dual SRS airbags, GOA Body and immobilizer.
The New Corolla Altis is available in 7 exciting colors including White Pearl Crystal Shine, Silver Mica Metallic, Grey Metallic, Blue Metallic, Champaign Mica Metallic, Super White II and Celestial Black.
This year marks 48th anniversary of Corolla in global market and in India the saloon has been present since 2003. Within 11 years of the car’s launch in India it has found 88,500 units.
