      The festive season in India is in a full swing and there is an element of positivity in the mindset of auto makers. Considered to be the best time to purchase a vehicle in India, the festive season is being relied upon heavily by car companies to revive their operations, which have been fairly below par, in terms of sales. Different automobile manufacturers are trying various methods and strategies to attract customers and push numbers to the maximum.

      The most prominent and evident way has been the launching of new products in the market. Several new models have already been introduced in the month of August, like Skoda Octavia, Nissan Terrano, BMW 5 Series facelift, Bentley Flying Spur and Land Rover Range Rover Sport, to name a few.

      Other than launching new vehicles, firms are also providing lucrative deals to lure buyers. These deals include discounts, insurance schemes and finance benefits. German car maker Volkswagen joined this bandwagon recently when it announced the launch of the Corporate Edition accessory pack with the Vento sedan. This accessory pack, according to reports, is worth Rs. 40000 and would be given away free of cost to buyers of Volkswagen Vento.

      Industry experts feel that this ploy by Volkswagen is an an excellent method to attract customers. The German car maker has been pretty active in the past few months, making headlines due to the launch of new vehicles and a few other initiatives. Notably, this is a one of its kind offer that has been given by any car maker this festive season. Also, the Corporate Edition offer is only applicable to the Volkswagen Vento line-up and it will not be coming with Vento TSI model, which was launched recently.

      It is being said that Volkswagen wants to continue its aggressive stance towards the Indian car market through any way that is possible. In a really short span of time, Volkswagen has managed to carve a niche for itself through cars like Polo, Vento, Jetta and Passat. The Volkswagen Vento Corporate Edition accessory pack is equipped with eight new accessories, which will be added to make the car look more attractive. Highlights of this accessory collection include alloy wheels, door protector, trunk spoiler and mud flaps. Other accessories present in the pack are navigation system, window chrome set, rear view camera and seat covers. This package can be used on both diesel and petrol variants of Volkswagen Vento.

      Also, since this is only an accessory package, meaning that it will retain all specifications that come in the regular version. This sedan from Volkswagen comes in both petrol and diesel versions. Petrol variant of the Volkswagen Vento runs on a 1.6-litre engine that churns out a maximum power of 103 bhp along with peak torque of 153 Nm. On the other hand, Volkswagen Vento diesel is powered by a 1.6-litre engine capable of generating an output of 103 bhp and 250 Nm of top torque. Analysts have claimed that the Indian car market is going to see a number of schemes and deals like these in the near future. More than new models, Indian buyers have a tendency to get attracted deals and schemes. This is why a number of companies have decided to introduce offers on their existing models.
