The Tata Hexa Downtown edition has been launched officially at Rs 12.18 lakhs (ex-showroom New Delhi) for the entry-level XE variant. This will be a limited edition vehicle that gets cosmetic changes and equipment additions.
The exterior appearance is enhanced thanks to the new Urban Bronze exterior colour. This special edition comes in two package options – Absolute and Indulge. Both the packages give the vehicle a Downtown badging and also chrome surrounds for the headlamps, tail lamps, ORVMs and sides. Additionally, the SUV gets side steps, wireless smartphone charging, carpet set and a car care kit. Both packages on the lower XE, XM and XMA trims add new tan seat covers, while the Indulge package on the lower trims adds 16-inch alloy wheels too. The higher XT and XTA trims paired with the Indulge package offer two rear 10-inch Blaupunkt infotainment screens and a dashboard-mounted head-up display.
No mechanical changes have been made to the Tata Hexa. This Downtown Urban Edition continues to be powered by the same 2.2-litre diesel engine that produces 148bhp of power and 320Nm of torque (in the XE variant) and 154bhp of power and 400Nm of torque (in the XM and XT variants). The XE trim comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, while the others get a choice of either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.
