Suzuki Ertiga (Maruti Suzuki Ertiga) spied with sporty body kit

The 2016 Suzuki Ertiga (Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift) has been snapped with sporty body kit ahead of its global unveiling on August 20, 2015 at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show. The spied model is completely different from the pre-production version of the vehicle, which was spied in India. According to reports, this could be the top-end sport variant of the MPV or a concept with a body kit.

The spyshot reveals a low black grille with vertical slats, sporty bumper with bold chrome element, headlights with a chrome strip running between them, well-designed fog lamp enclosures and LED DRLs. The India-bound Maruti Ertiga facelift will continue to feature the 1.4-litre K-Series petrol and 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engines that power the existing model. While the base variant will be offered with a 5-speed manual transmission, the top-model might get a 5-speed AMT (automated manual transmission). Features on offer could be Maruti’s SmartPlay infotainment system, Bluetooth connectivity, steering mounted phone controls, a keyless entry system with an engine starter button and engine starter button.

Upon its launch, the 2016 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift will take on the likes of Honda Mobilio, Chevrolet Enjoy, and Mahindra Xylo. The company will export the Ertiga facelift (India-made) to Indonesia through CKD (completely knocked down) route. Expected to be launched in the festive season, the updated Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will be priced within the range of Rs. 6 lakh – Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom).
