Skoda all set to enthral audience with its new variant, Superb Ambition

Skoda Auto, the completely owned subsidiary of Volkswagen Group, is all set to introduce new base variant of Skoda Superb, Ambition in the Indian auto industry. The official launch of Skoda Superb Ambition will take place on 18th April 2012. The entry level model will not be incorporated with some of the luxury features and advancements, and therefore the car will be offered with a reduced price tag. The petrol version of Superb Ambition will be priced at Rs. 18 lacs, whereas the diesel version of Ambition will be offered at Rs. 22.5 lacs (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).

Since the Ambition is placed as a base variant of Superb, it still boasts of a large number of safety features in order to ensure a complete safety of its passengers. Certain safety features packed within the car include 8 airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Break-force Distribution (EBD), Traction Control System (TCS) and Anti Slip Regulation (ASR). The USP of Superb is still provided within its entry level variant, as the Ambition still flaunts ample space at interiors, which offers an extra dose of comforts to the passengers of Superb.

Some of the features which are not incorporated within the new car includes projector headlights, loses headlamp washers, tyre pressure monitoring system, front proximity sensors, touch screen audio system and 6-CD changer. Auto analysts speculate that the main reason conceived behind the launch of this car is to counter newly introduced 2012 Hyundai Sonata.

Since the company is set to launch the new base version of Skoda Superb in market, it is likely to attract those buyers who are slightly conscious regarding the price of car. However, analysts were expecting from the company to introduce a cut-down price version of Superb following with the launch of Rapid, but Skoda took much time to release this version. Moreover, the company will be organising a brilliant launch ceremony on 18th April for its Superb Ambition and most of the auto aficionados will be following the track to get the glimpse of this new premium car.
