The popular Renault Duster has been the brand's identitity in the Indian market. Being one of the fast growing automobile manufacturers in the country, the company as part of its agressive marketing strategy has launched the New Generation Duster that is offered at a lucrative starting price tag of Rs. 8.30 Lakhs (Delhi ex-showroom). The new trim is said to be loaded with all-new safety and comfort features. The new trim also boast of being laden with superior engineering technology.

The New Generation Duster has received evolved electrical and electronics architecture and a new “CMO10” engine compartment that has been developed to deliver superior driving experience with excellent acceleration and low end torque. The New Generation Duster trim is also said to be compatible with the future regulation and has high ground clearance of about 205 mm that indeed gives a practically enhanced drive feel. As for comfort and convenience the vehicle gets arm rest, multi-information display with service reminders and gear shift indicator. As for interiors, the vehicle gets soft touch dashboard, new fabric upholstery and a quieter cabin. The SUV also sports first ECO mode feature, cruise control & speed limiter, new steering column, new instrument cluster and a speed sensitive door lock for enhanced safety features. Additionally, the vehicle aslo features ABS with EBD and brake assist, dual front airbags, rear defogger and a rear wiper and washer with timer.
The New Generation Duster will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options with choice of two diesel engines along with a choice of one powerful petrol engine. The powerful diesel variant is powered by reliable and fuel efficient 1.5 K9K, dCi (common rail direct injection)engine that delivers a powerful performance with 110PS at 4000RPM of maximum power and peak torque of 245NM at 1750RPM. The engine is mated to a 6 speed manual transmission. This trim mages to impress with an excellent fuel efficiency of 19.64 kmpl, which is most effective in the eco mode.
The New Generation Duster RxE, RxL Diesel variant with its 1.5 dCi K9K engine will produce 85PSat 3750RPM of maximum power and 200NM at 1750RPM of peak Torque with class leading fuel efficiency of 19.87 Kmpl which will provide one of the best options for economical city driving with enough power to cruise comfortably on the highway as well. The powerful petrol variant uses the 1.6 K4M engine. It produces a maximum power of 104PS at 5750 RPM and 148 Nm at 3750 RPM peak torque and is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. It has a fuel efficiency of 13.24 Kmpl.
