Renault India is all set to launch the much-awaited Lodgy MPV in the country in coming weeks. With the Lodgy MPV, the company aims to further enhance its market share in the highly competitive Indian market. The company has already revealed the top-spec Stepway variant at the 2015 StarGuild awards. Ahead of its official launch, new details of the regular variant of the MPV have been revealed on web.

The front-fascia of the Renault Lodgy MPV features chrome induced grille, flanked by large headlamps with integrated LEDs. The car has conventional bumper that accommodates wide air intake and round-shaped fog lamps. The side profile features the chrome side claddings, and wheel arches have been fitted to 5-spoke alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, the car has dual-tone finish (brown and beige) and the centre console is finished in piano black. It has dual-shade perforated leather upholstery for seats. There is chrome inserts on instrument cluster, AC vents and other parts to add some premium touch.

Talking about features, the Renault Lodgy MPV has multi-functional steering wheel, touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, USB, AUX-connectivity, etc. Other features include power windows, tray tables with integrated cup holders for second row and roof mounted air-con vents for the second and third row passengers. On the safety front, the MPV has a rear-view camera with reverse parking sensors, anti-lock braking system with EBD (electronic brake-force distribution), airbags, etc.

The Renault Lodgy MPV will be powered by the same 1.5-litre dCi four-cylinder diesel engine that also powers the Duster SUV. This engine offers two states of tunes - 85PS and 110PS, and both versions will be on offer. While the 85PS version is coupled to a five-speed manual gearbox, the powerful 110PS motor is paired to a six-speed gearbox. The company might also introduce a 1.6-litre petrol version; however, nothing official has been said on the same.
