      New generation Hyundai Tucson crossover sketch released

      Hyundai, the South Korean automaker, has released a preview sketch of the Tucson SUV. Also known as ix35, the SUV will make its global debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in March. The new generation Tucson will replace the outgoing ix35 in Hyundai’s global line-up.

      The sketch of the new Tucson suggest that the model will get the same, but evolved Fluidic design sculpture, which we have already seen on every new generation Hyundai cars including Elite i20, Santa Fe, ix25 compact SUV and new Genesis saloon. The sketch reveals that the SUV will get large central grille, which is also offered on the new Genesis saloon.

      Commenting on the All-New Tucson, Peter Schreyer, President and Chief Design Officer of Hyundai Motor Group, said: “Our new compact SUV will be a big step forward for the Hyundai brand globally. The All-New Tucson has a bold and athletic presence and a proud stance. Its design is characterised by flowing surfaces, bold proportions, sharp lines and – most important – our brand signature hexagonal grille.”

      The previous generation Tucson was replaced by the ix35 SUV in 2010, and the South Korean auto giant is now aiming to bring back the Tucson name for the SUV and it will be sold in global markets. The new generation model will rival against the likes of Nissan Qashqai, Skoda Yeti and Kia Sportage, and is expected to go on sale in International markets by the end of this year.
