The New generation Mercedes Benz C-Class model is speculated to be launched in the Indian market on September 1st. The car will be launched in a ceremony to be held in the National Capital on Thursday. The all new C-Class sedan will be blessed with a series of changes at both interior and exterior fronts including newly designed headlights, bumpers, and head lights integrated with the LED daytime running lights.
The major rival of the new Mercedes Benz C-Class sedan will be upcoming new generation BMW 3 Series model that will be debuting at the Frankfurt Motors Show in third week of September.
The car will be rolled-out in three engine options including two diesel engines and one petrol engine. The 1.8L 4 - cylinder petrol engine is capable of churning out a peak power of 186 bhp along with top torque of 285 Nm. On the other hand, the lesser powered 2.2L diesel engine will be capable of delivering a peak power of 170 bhp along with a peak torque of 400 Nm. The high powered diesel version will be delivering a peak power of 204 bhp and peak torque of 500 Nm.
Later on, the company may roll-out a refreshed version of the car with massive 6.3 Litre V8 engine. Besides BMW 3 series, the Audi A4 will also be a major rival for the new age C-Class sedan of Mercedes Benz.
