Maruti Suzuki's Ertiga has been a popular choice in the MPV segment in India. Back in 2012, the company reportedly managed to sell around 11,000 units in just about five days since launch. This time around sources have managed to click the pictures of the facelifted trim in Indonesia. Similar specs are likely to be offered in the Indian variant as well.
The new trim shall continue to be offered in petrol as well as diesel variants. The petrol trim shall be powered by 1.4 Litre K-Series engine that would be capable of producing about 94 bhp or power with 130 Nm of torque. The petrol would be also be offered in optional Automated Manual Transmission apart from the regular manual transmission. The diesel trim shall be powered by 1.3-Litre engine that would be capable of producing about 89 bhp of power with 200 Nm of torque. The diesel variant has been mated to 5-speed manual transmission.
In terms of features, the upcoming Ertiga trim shall get power-folding ORVMs, optional socket console box, dual airbags (Standard equipment) and driver side auto-up power window. In terms of design upgrade, the MPV gets new 3-slat chrome grille, re-designed radiator grille and new chrome bezels that compliments fog lamp housing. As for the interiors, the vehicle gets fabric seat upholstery and new shades of steering as well as gear knob. More details on the pricing aspect shall be revealed at a later date.
