Shigeto Nishikawa, the deputy director of Kawasaki Motor India, was present at the launch of this new outlet. He said that the company is taking tender footsteps in India at the moment but is expecting to jump 30 to 40 per cent growth in sales figures in this year. He stated, “Last year, our cumulative sale was 250 units. Currently, the superbike market is growing around 30 to 40 per cent year-on-year. We expect to grow with the market."

Currently, the company has only four retail outlets in the country. However, there is an agreement with Bajaj Auto, which allows it to sell its products from KTM showrooms. Most of its products are imported into the country via the completely built route, which focuses on the fact that most of these are premium superbikes. Among the bikes sold here, the Kawasaki Z800 is one of the most famous as well as the best-selling versions. Mr Nishikawa said that the company is planning to launch a new paint scheme for this bike soon.
