Hyundai Elite i20 based crossover has been spotted in a fully undisguised manner ahead of its launch in March/April. Compared to Elite i20 hatchback, the i20 Crossover gets slightly tweaked exteriors to add some sporty touch to it. At the front, the crossover features a new skid plate, new bumper with large fog lamps, projector headlamp with daytime running lights, etc. The rear profile of the crossover is equipped with a new bumper with circular reflector elements and silver skid plate. Other than these, the i20 Active has new roof spoiler, roof rails, extra plastic body cladding and new alloy wheels, etc.

The crossover also gets a new brown exterior colour, while the ground clearance is marginally raised to 170mm. The suspension is likely to be tweaked to offer better driving experience even on rugged road conditions. It is also expected that the crossover will get an upgraded infotainment system.

The i20 Active crossover will share its engine with the Elite i20 hatchback. The petrol version of the hatchback will be powered by a 1.2-litre unit that churns out a maximum power output of 83PS and a peak torque of 115Nm. The oil burner is a 1.4-litre CRDi unit that produces 90PS and 220Nnm of torque.
