The vRS 230 is based on the RS TSI and comes with a 2.o0-litre TSI turbo petrol mill and gets a 10 hp jolt from the existing RS TSI. The car generates around 230 horsepower, which propels the car from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour within a mere 6.7 seconds. The top speed of the car is slated at 250 kilometres per hour. The company released a statement stating that, ‘Octavia RS 230 is the first Skoda to feature – as series-standard – an electronically controlled front differential axle lock for dynamic cornering’ at high speeds.

Skoda will also showcase the recently unveiled Superb during the Swiss Show. The new Superb is based on the parent Volkswagen group’s MQB platform. This model demonstrates the future of Skoda and how it will look like. The latest offering Fabia and Octavia, have subtly resembled the new model. The third generation Skoda Superb will feature a direct-injected turbocharged motor – three TSI common-rail diesel mills and five TSI petrol mills. The outputs of the TSI models range from 125 HP to 280 HP; on the other hand, the diesel model ranges from 120 HP to 190 HP. All the cars are mated to a dual-clutch DSG transmission except for the base petrol model.
