Japanese automobile manufacturer Honda, who has been working for years to make a fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV), has finally revealed a sketch of the same lately. This might bring some good news for the passionate car lovers who wish to have green vehicles in their garage. The Honda, who is all geared up with this FCEV Concept (as it names) car, has scheduled the vehicle's debut at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show and Los Angeles Auto Show in 2013. However, the company has planned to introduce the production model in U.S and Japan by 2015 and thereafter in Europe, sources have claimed. From the stylized design pictures released by the Honda stable, it can be seen that this FCEV Concept car is sporty and sleek in looks. This futuristic vehicle is powered by hydrogen, which is a renewable source of energy. And, bringing this new concept of highly fuel-efficient car in automobile market will reduce our dependency on conventional fuels. This will make not only make our environment free from harmful emissions, but will also contribute to sustainable development, thereby creating a non-polluted atmosphere.

Although, Honda has previously made fuel cell vehicles that include models like FCX Clarity and FCX. But, the company offers these versions on lease in selected markets only (mainly California). Honda Motors Company says that this FCEV Concept car is aerodynamically designed, with its upper profile slightly being sliced for air intakes. With this, the vehicle will have drag velocity faster on roads, while cruising. Auto analysts are of a view that the price of this next-generation FCEV Concept car will be less expensive as compared to earlier versions of FCX and FCX Clarity.

In light of this, the American Honda Motor Company's Senior Vice-President, Mike Accavitti was quoted as saying, "The Honda FCEV Concept demonstrates the company's vision for the future of personal mobility and our commitment to developing advanced alternative fuel vehicles." He further added, "As we work toward the introduction of our next-generation fuel-cell vehicle in 2015, our long-term experience with fuel-cell technologies will help us pave a way towards a zero-emissions future."

At the upcoming 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, Honda Motors also plans to unveil the upgraded version of 2014 Civic alongside the next-generation FCEV Concept car. According to reports, this renowned company of Honda was the first automobile manufacturer who initiated a retail market for the fuel-cell electric vehicles in 2005 and thus made it available to a number of customers on lease. On this note, we can say that with these upcoming fuel-efficient cars manoeuvring on roads will produce less carbon footprint as compared to its gasoline counterparts.

Honda has always been known for setting benchmarks in terms of technology, at par with companies from Europe. Also, it has a terrific research and development team that works day-in day-out to achieve breakthrough in the automobile industry. By releasing this design, the Japanese car maker gave the world a sneak-peek into its future plans. Experts feel that such cars, although a distant reality at the moment, might prove to be significant milestones for the world automobile industry.
