Honda CBR150R, the popular bike from Japanese bike maker, according to reports, has gotten new paint schemes in Thailand, which includes three alternatives – Iconic Red, Double Black and Modish White. This combination provided includes a sportier dual tone graphic pattern featuring a carbon fibre touch but the moniker of the bike remains same as before. The changes, however, are merely cosmetic in nature and no mechanical alteration has been made to the bike.

Interestingly, the appearance of Honda CBR150R is quite similar to that of its elder sibling, CBR250R, which, in turn, has been styled along the lines of the VFR1200F model. There is a sporty, full body fairing that has all racing features including split seat, digital-analog console, front telescopic forks, dual disc brakes, transparent windshield and short muffler.

The powertrain fitted in this model has a capacity of around 149.4 cc and is liquid cooled. This DOHC engine features a PGM-FI (Programmed Fuel Injection) system and is mated to a six speed gearbox. This engine churns out an output of around 17.57 BHP at 10500 RPM along with maximum torque of 12.66 Nm at 8500 RPM.

Since the Honda CBR150R has been launched in India in March 2012, no noticeable update has been given to the model while the Yamaha R15, its main rival, has received plenty of upgrades from time to time. Nevertheless, a new avatar of the bike is expected to hit showrooms in 2015.
