Honda Car India is working on the facelifted version of the Amaze compact sedan, which is likely to be launched by the end of this year. The updated model will offer better NVH (Noise Vibration & Harshness) levels and is expected to get more features. But before that the company is planning to add some more variants to the Amaze line-up to keep the momentum going for the compact sedan.

Recently, Honda introduced the new Amaze VX (O) trim in the market and is now aiming to launch a couple of more variants of the compact sedan including a CNG version. Of the two variants, the RS might come prior to the CNG model. The Amaze RS will get both exterior and interior changes, and will target young buyers.

Talking about its styling, the Honda Amaze RS gets a new front grille, slightly tweaked bumpers and new alloys. The vehicle will get skirting for the front, rear and sides, large exhaust top, side body mouldings and a lip spoiler. These new additions will be offered to add sporty touch to the vehicle. The overall styling of the car is likely to remain unchanged, but it will be priced slightly more than the standard variant.

With new variants for Amaze compact sedan, the company aims to fight well against the likes of Maruti Swift Dzire, Tata Zest and Hyundai Xcent. The compact sedan segment will soon join by the Ford Figo sedan and VW Polo based sedan this year.
