Chevrolet Enjoy, the upcoming compact MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) in the General Motors India’s portfolio, was recently spotted testing on the Indian roads for a couple of occasions on the Indian roads. A test mule of this MUV was spotted in Chennai and Bangalore, indicating towards its early launch in the Indian market.

The Chevrolet Enjoy MPV was showcased at the Delhi International Auto Expo 2012, where it had attracted a large number of car enthusiasts and visitors. It is expected that the company will be rolling-out this MPV in the Indian market by the end of this year, where it will be competing with the likes of Maruti Ertiga, Toyota Innova and Mahindra Xylo, etc.

The diesel version of the MPV will come powered by a Fiat sourced 1.3L Multijet engine, which has been very successful in the Indian market in the cars like Maruti Swift, Ritz, Dzire, Ertiga and SX4, Fiat Punto, etc. The powerful diesel engine is expected to come incorporated with a rear wheel drive and a fixed-geometry turbocharger (FGT). On the other hand, the petrol version of the MPV will be carrying a 1.4-litre petrol engine, which will be delivering a peak power of 94.6bhp.

The Chevrolet Enjoy is a restyled version of the SAIC’s Wuling CN-100, to which company has upgraded at its Bangalore based styling studio.
