Citroën has officially announced the launch of the C5 Aircross on 7 September, 2022. The carmaker recently teased the 2022 C5 Aircross facelift across its social media handles. Unveiled in January 2022, the updated crossover SUV carries major changes to the exterior and interior. Meanwhile, Citroën introduced the current model in the country at the beginning of 2021.
The 2022 C5 Aircross facelift gets redesigned daytime running lights, reshaped bumper, new headlights and taillamps along with new alloy wheels. Coming with a fresh interior, it features a mildly reshaped dashboard, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, and a new centre console with a toggle switch for gear selection.
The new Citroën C5 Aircross is likely to be powered by the 2.0-litre diesel powertrain producing 175bhp and 400Nm of torque. This motor is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Upon launch, the 2022 Citroën C5 Aircross will rival the Volkswagen Tiguan, Jeep Compass, and the new-generation Hyundai Tucson.
