      Volvo has finally unveiled its new XC90 SUV that will go on sale in European market early next year. Price of the 2015 XC90 SUV has already been revealed much ahead of its March 2015 launch. Volvo has tagged new XC90 at GBP 45,785 that equals to Rs 45.90 lakh in India currency. Swedish auto giant will put the vehicle for public display in October at 2014 Paris Motor Show.

      Previewed earlier in the Volvo Cope Concept, XC90 facelift has been designed in tandem with the company’s new design language. Preeminent tweaks made up front comprise of chrome grille featuring Volvo logo and Thor’s hammer head lights. Imparting bold semblance to the vehicle is the robust shoulder line that kinks into the car’s long structured bonnet.

      A neatly designed dashboard catches your attention as you step inside. Centre console comes equipped with a large touch-screen featuring latest infotainment software. Most of the functions are curbed through the touch-screen equipped on the central console. Among the additional comfort features, new four-zone climate control system with clean zone air purification system that allows individual setting for passengers sitting in front and rear.

      This is the first completely new vehicle from Volvo that will be launched under the new Chinese ownership. Among its other firsts is the Scalable Product Architecture on which the new XC90 is based. Boasting enhanced dimensions, the SUV is longer, taller and lower than the outgoing version, however the weight has not increased substantially. Under the hood will be the new and efficient Drive-E family of engines including petrol and diesel engines.

      The new XC90 will compete with other SUVs in its segment such as BMW X5, Porsche Cayenne, Volkswagen Touareg and the Mercedes M-Class.
