Excitement among masses is building up as the release of Dhoom 3 is coming near. What's more surprising is that the German Motor giant BMW Motorrad has officially declared its collaboration with the upcoming Yash Raj production. Indeed, it is an astonishing, mind-boggling news because Bollywood's connection with mean machine has always created magical spells on screen. The earlier instalments of Dhoom series has had a penchant for super bikes, featuring the likes of Honda, Yamaha and the undisputed roadster Suzuki Hayabusa. And now, it turns out that the German auto maker is contributing to razzmatazz the third edition of the series, releasing in cinema halls worldwide on 20th December.
The models that will be accentuating the panache of Dhoom 3 are the high performance BMW K1300 R and BMW S1000 RR, and the two beasts are as fierce to drive as they look. Both will be showcased in a sensational speed-chase involving the Actor Abhishek Bachchan and his compadre Uday Chopra steering on the BMW S1000 RR in the hot pursuit of the super-con Aamir Khan mounted on the BMW K1300R.
The BMW K1300 R is a flamboyant cruiser bike, developing a massive 173 bhp, 140 Nm torque with the support of a 4-cylinder 1293 cc engine. It smoothly sprints from 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.8 seconds on full throttle. Whereas, the S1000 RR is a bit steep on engine capacity, featuring a 999 cc 4-cylinder unit developing a humongous 193 bhp and 106 Nm peak torque. Both the super bikes are designed aerodynamically with a muscular front end and a stylish rear. Launching at rocket speed, the models promise to provide full stability and road grip, exemplifying the riding comfort for driver.
In a press conference, Alexander Baraka, Head of Events, Exhibitions and Motorsport Marketing addressed the media by quoting, “For BMW Motorrad, the focus is always on the rider’s experience. That is why we are incredibly proud to be making our début not just in an Indian film venture but in the biggest Bollywood blockbuster of the year – and with our BMW bikes playing such a high-profile role, this is a project predestined for high-speed chases on the big screen.”
The trailers of this high action packed flick has already stirred chills among the fan followers, displaying the startling manoeuvres of the lead actors astride the bike through the crowded roads, performing daring leaps and slithering under a carriage. The buzz is in the air but it will be interesting to see how the public finally reacts after watching the film on 20th December.
