Formula One drivers, famous all around the world, are among the most handsomely paid sportsmen on the planet. They, literally, are people, whose life others want to live and cherish. It can be rightly said that the most enviable fact about them is that they get to lay their hands on extremely fast cars on a daily basis. Not only to do Formula One drivers ride in these mean machines, they also get paid for it, something which would be a dream come true for auto enthusiasts around the world. Such is the magnanimity of their on track vehicles that almost everyone forgets about choices made by them off the racing circuit. In fact, only a handful know about cars bought by Formula One drivers for personal use. Not surprisingly, cars owned by this elite group of drivers are some of the best vehicles made on the planet.

Talking about Sebastian Vettel first, the German driver and current world champion is the owner of a number of amazing cars. The Red Bull Racing driver has won hearts all across the globe for his exploits on the Formula One circuit. Such is his fame and popularity that Infiniti launched a model in his name, called the FX Vettel Edition. Ironically, according to sources, Vettel is also the owner of a T5 Van from German brand Volkswagen. However, his most prized possession is the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black series model, which is considered to be one of the most stylish cars on the planet at the moment. Vettel's partner and Australian driver, Mark Webber, reportedly, has the best collection of cars among his contemporaries. The Australian not only possesses a fleet of superb vehicles, he has made purchases from all segments. As a result of his association with Red Bull, which is sponsored by Infiniti, Webber owns the M37 model from the Nissan owned brand. It is said that Webber, a die-hard lover of cars, keeps different vehicles for various occasions. For instance, his everyday drive is the X5 Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) from BMW whereas the racer prefers the Porsche 911 GT2 when going out with friends on a fun ride. Other possessions of Mark Webber include Nissan Navara and Porsche 911 GT3 RS.

Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso has been quite loyal to his team both on and off the racing track. When not racing for prancing horse F1 team, Alonso drives a Ferrari 458, which, presumably, has been gifted to him by his employer. Apart from the Ferrari 458, the Spaniard reportedly spent around $140000 to purchase a Maserati Turismo Convertible. Alonso is also the owner of an SUV, Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8, which is owned by his team mate and Brazilian driver Felipe Massa as well. No mention of Ferrari of Formula One is complete without mentioning Michael Schumacher, the icon and legend, who is considered as one of the greatest of all time. The German driver achieved most of his success for the red team, winning the world championship five times. True to his loyalty to Ferrari, he owns numerous models from the Italian car manufacturer, such as FXX and California. Schumacher also owns a Fiat Croma and Fiat 500 Abarth.

British driver Lewis Hamilton always remains in the news due to his lifestyle and antics. He is the owner of a distinguished list of cars, which includes the likes of Mercedes-Benz GL450, Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series, Pagani Zonda and McLaren MP4-12C. Fellow Britisher and former World Champion, Jenson Button, reportedly, has a penchant for stylish and sleek cars. Parked in his garage are the likes of Porsche 911 GT2 RS, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG DR520 and McLaren MP4-12C.
