Volkswagen Jetta 2011, the much awaited premium sedan in the Indian market, is speculated to be launched in the Indian market on 17th August 2011. According to recent media reports, the company is doing the final preparations to launch the car in the Indian market. The new age Jetta 2011 will be launched in both petrol and diesel versions in the Indian market.
The petrol version of the Volkswagen will come powered by a more refined 1.8L TSI petrol engine. On the other hand, the diesel version will be loaded with a 2.0L TDI diesel engine. The new car will come joined with a sophisticated DSG gearbox, in both 6 speed manual and 6 speed automatic transmission versions. The new Jetta will be carrying a sportier and curvier body as compared to the previous version of the car.
In the interiors too, the new Jetta will be blessed with all new styling and designing. Moreover, the car is expected to host a range of new age safety and performance boosting features.
The major competitors of the car in the country include Skoda Laura, Honda Civic, Chevrolet Cruze and Toyota Corolla Altis.
