The much awaited Kite hatchback which may be named as Tata Tiago is finally expected to hit roads sometime the last quarter of this year. On numerous instances, the vehicle has been spotted undergoing road test. For a while now, news has been doing rounds that Tata Motors may introduce a new 1.05-litre three-cylinder common-rail diesel motor that would be capable of generating about 64.1bhp of power. It is also speculated that the hatchback may get a e-clutch system that may possibly deliver better fuel efficiency figures than manual transmission.
The petrol variant shall continue being powered by 1.2-litre Revotron engine that is capable of generating about 89bhp of power with 140Nm of torque. In terms of design, the vehicle gets a new honeycomb grill that compliments the new headlamps. The bumpers are larger to accommodate wider air dam and foglamps that render it a sporty appeal. The interiors are expected to be great on space much like Tata's traditional lineage. On the pricing aspect the hatchback is expected to be offered under the Rs 6 lakh segment.
