With the rising demands of Utility Vehicles in India, the car manufacturers have inclined their maximum production towards this genre of cars. In the present generation, almost all the major car manufacturers have come up with new SUV’s lined up for launch, and many other Sports Utility Vehicles are in the R&D phase. Companies like Toyota, Mahindra, etc. have been the most successful in this genre with their very favoured and long-lasting, high-performance SUV’s. But the time has changed and every company wants to play a part in this competition. Hence, a few SUV’s lined up for launch in 2015 are mentioned below.
Mahindra S101
Mahindra & Mahindra has been a highly recognised name in terms of producing high-performance SUV’s in the market. With their early models of Mahindra XUV 500, Mahindra Xylo, etc., the major car manufacturer is all set with its brand new Mahindra S101 which has been spotted on the road under testing conditions quite a few times now. Though the launch dates have not been released by the largest SUV manufacturers, it is expected that the vehicle will hit the roads by the mid of the year.
A speculation that the SUV will get its power from a 1.5L mCR100 diesel engine is also being made. This engine is currently running the Quanto variant. Expected to have a price tag of Rs. 5-6 lakhs, the SUV might prove to be a great threat to the Duster and EcoSport.
Hyundai ix25
Hyundai has a strong hold over the Indian car market. This Korean car manufacturer company has been manufacturing and launching cars in India for a long time, and has lined up its new ix25 SUV for launch in the mid of 2015. The car was first unveiled at the Auto China, from where huge speculations started flowing in the market. Nevertheless, this car can bring great damage to the sales of the already running SUVs in the market after its launch. It is expected that the car will get its power from 1.4L engine. Also, the SUV will be priced at around Rs. 10 lakhs.
Maruti Suzuki S-Cross
With the large amount of sales and great services provided by the manufacturers, Maruti Suzuki is a name that is preferred by many. Though the car manufacturers don’t have a good hold of the SUV segment of the market yet, the authorities are planning to own this segment pretty soon with their lined up Maruti Suzuki S-Cross.
The car will come with a 1.6L diesel engine as well as with an option of petrol engine of the same capacity in India. This stylish car has the tendency to rule over the SUV segment. The response, that people of the country will give to this car, is still awaited.
