      Unveiled: 2015 Honda CBR 150R and CBR 250R get new graphics and colours

      Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India (HMSI) that launched the CBR 650F at the recently-held RevFest, also unveiled the 2015 CBR 150R and CBR 250R with new graphics and colour schemes. Though, both the bikes are reported to retain their engines. While the Honda CBR 150R will take on the Yamaha R15, the Honda CBR 250R will rival the Bajaj Pulsar RS200, KTM RC200, Hyosung GT250R, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and Z250.

      Both the bikes - CBR 150R and CBR 250R – will receive new badges and new dual-tone exterior colors. Powering the 2015 Honda CBR150R will be the existing 149.4cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine that is paired to a 6-speed transmission. It churns out a maximum power of 18.27bhp at and 12.6Nm of torque. It offers a top speed of 131 kmph. The new colour CBR 150R variants are likely to be Rs. 2,500 more expensive than the regular shade models. It is expected to be launched just before this year’s festive season.

      The new Honda CBR250R will continue to feature the 249cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that also powers the existing model. According to reports, the CBR250R might be offered with ABS (anti-lock braking system) and non-ABS variants.

      At the same event, Honda also revealed the all-new CB Hornet 160R that will be powered by a 162.71cc engine, which is good for 14.5bhp and 14.61Nm of torque. The Hornet 160R is likely to replace the CB Trigger in India.
