Tata Motors has been working meticulously over the past couple of years to push sales of its petite wagon, Nano in India. This time, the car maker is coming up with the automated manual transmission for the Nano hatchback that is likely to be launched soon in domestic market. The vehicle has also been spotted being tested across India a number of times.

Tata Motors is expected to roll out new Nano AMT in five-door body style and is also likely to be offered with open-able boot. Sources close to development reveal that AMT version of Nano could sport redesigned head lights, reworked bumpers, fog lamps could be replaced to a better position and turn blinkers could don tweaked clear-lens.

Rear is also likely to receive some tweaks and we also expect modifications to be made inside the cabin. Though there is no clarity on the launch date yet of the AMT Nano but with the test mule being spotted numerous times we expect that Tata is giving final touches to the hatchback before its launch.

Tata is also gearing up for the launch of its two new products, Tata Bolt and Tata Zest in domestic market. Both the vehicles were exhibited at the 2014 Auto Expo and since then they have been among the highly anticipated upcoming vehicles in India. These vehicles are likely to shed off company’s image of offering conventional vehicles. The company will bestow AMT transmission to its upcoming range including Bolt and Zest.
