Mahindra has spun off limited edition of XUV 500 christened ‘Sportz’ in domestic market for Rs 13.68 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). Based on the W8 variant of the SUV, ‘Sportz’ is being offered with a host of advanced features. Interiors have been spruced up too with the inclusion of few features like sporty leather fabric seats. Other features embedded inside the cabin include a six-inch touch screen infotainment system with GPS, DVD, CD, MP3, FM, USB, iPod connectivity, driver information system, fully automatic temperature control with dual HVAC, cruise control, smart rain and light sensors, projector head lights and LED parking lights among few others.
On the exterior front, alloy wheels with red inserts impart a sporty look to the SUV. Other additions like stylish Sportz decals, stylized red roof rails, ‘Sportz’ badge, rear-view camera for convenience of driver, fog lamps and door handles with red accents are also equipped in the ‘Sportz’ limited edition. Mahindra has packed ‘Sportz’ limited edition with the robust 2.2 litre mHawk diesel powertrain that develops 140 PS of maximum power along with a top torque of 330 Nm. A six-speed tranny transmits power to the rear wheels.
