      Tata Motors group wholesales Facts and Figures

      The Tata Motors group, including Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), witnessed a 4 per cent dip in their sales to 103,656 units in September 2012. However, the overall sales of the company's vehicles for this financial year over the same period in 2011 – 12 are up by 8 per cent to 579,037 units.

      The worldwide sales of company's all commercial vehicles including Tata, Tata Daewoo and the Tata Hispano Carrocera range grew by 3 per cent in September 2012 to 54,761 numbers. The cumulative overall sales grew higher by 2 per cent to 283,546 in comparison to 2011.

      Tata's global wholesales of its all passenger vehicles, however, decreased by 11 per cent to 48,895 units in September 2012. Cumulative overall sales for the financial year are higher by 14 per cent to 295,491 numbers.

      The wholesales of Tata passenger vehicles were at 22,434 units for September which is lower by 17 per cent over September 2011. The cumulative overall sales for the financial year remained higher by 4 per cent to 134,597 units.

      The wholesales of Jaguar Land Rover worldwide in September 2012 stood at 26,461 numbers, which is lower by 4 per cent over September 2011 and this also includes model year change over timings. While the Jaguar wholesales for September stood at 2,808 units, the cumulative wholesales for the month remained at 21,606 units. On the other hand, Land Rover's wholesales numbers stood at 23,653 for September 2012 and cumulative overall sales were 139,288 vehicles. Cumulative wholesales of Jaguar Land Rover for the financial year remained 160,894 units which is higher by 24 per cent over the previous year.
