Parts of the continent Africa and Sri Lanka have been the most important export markets for the renowned Indian two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp, so says Pawan Munjal, the organisation’s vice-chairman and managing director. In a statement, Munjal said, "Sri Lanka has been a very big market for us. In recent times, we have seen some large volumes out of that market. Outside of the subcontinent, African markets have also been volume drivers for us." When it comes to volume, Hero MotoCorp has emerged as the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer. As of now, the brand sells its models in 22 nations around the world. Incidentally, the company used to sell its products in four countries only, approximately a year and a half ago. The company’s next target is to reach approximately 10 per cent of net sales from markets located in overseas.
