It has been almost fourteen years since the launch of Maruti Suzuki Wagon R and has been immensely successful in the process. It is astounding to hear, but the company has been able to sell approximately 15 lakh Wagon R models, since its inception in 2000. The interesting part about the car is that the interest for this car still persists. Amongst the huge 15 lakh number, the car witnessed a total of 156300 units in the year 2013-14 alone. The newest variant of the car is the Stingray, which has a significant amount of chrome and ultra-modern design headlamps, thus differentiating it from the standard variant. The hatchback is powered by a 1-litre K-series engine and is available both in petrol as well as CNG models. The model is powered by a 998 cc engine, which is capable of generating a power of 68 PS at the rate of 6200 rpm. The net torque output of the car is slated at 90 Nm at the rate of 3500 rpm.
