Renault will launch the much-awaited Lodgy MPV in the Indian car market on April 9, 2015. Dealers have already started taking pre-orders for the MPV at a token amount of Rs. 50,000. The vehicle will take on the likes of Toyota Innova, Honda Mobilio and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga in the country.
The Renault Lodgy MPV will come in diesel version only. Under the hood is a 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine in two states of tunes - 85PS/200Nm and 110PS/240Nm. While the later will be paired to a six-speed manual gearbox, the 85PS motor will be coupled to a five-speed manual gearbox. The ARAI certified fuel economy of the 85PS version is rated at 21.04kmpl, while the powerful unit delivers 19.98kmpl of mileage.
The top-of-the line Renault Lodgy RXZ variant will be equipped with a series of advanced features, which will be shared with the Duster SUV. Key features to be on offer are reverse camera with sensors, touch-screen infotainment system, power windows, power sockets for all three rows, air conditioning vents for all three rows, multi-functional steering wheel, etc.
To be offered in both seven and eight seat options, the 7-seater Lodgy will get comfortable captain seats for the second row with airplane-like foldable trays. For passenger safety and security, the MPV gets anti-lock braking system, electronic brake-force distribution, dual front airbags, etc. Other features include electrically adjustable ORVMs, cruise control & speed limiter, touch-screen MediaNAV with AUX-in, Bluetooth & USB, keyless entry, etc.
