Renault Duster 85 PS Adventure variant launched priced at Rs 9.16 lakh

Ahead of Renault Duster 4X4 variant launch, the French auto cos has launched a new variant of its compact SUV. The new variant is the 85 PS RxE Adventure Edition, that is being offered at a price of Rs 9.16 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Besides the new variant, Renault also offers Adventure variant in the 110 PS trim that is considered to be sportier than the standard version. The abrupt launch of the new variant could be used a buffer until Renault spawns 4X4 trim later this year.

Duster’s new Adventure Edition has been modified to render a robust, valiant and domineering stance. In the front, a set of smoky head lamps look prominent, other changes on the exterior front include wheel arch cladding and contours scattered all over the body of the SUV.

Interiors have also been tweaked slightly, two tone color scheme of black and grey matches well with the outer appearance. Apart from this, lime green fabric upholstery, floor mates with Duster embossed in it, a new MediaNav have also been embedded.

Powering the new Adventure Edition is a 1.5 litre, K9K diesel powerplant that is good for a maximum power output of 85 PS along with a top torque of 200 Nm. A five speed manual gearbox has been coupled with the diesel mill that transmits power to the front wheel. Company claims the new Adventure variant to return a high fuel efficiency of 20 kms in a litre.
