Desert Dash is a first of its kind invitation only event in India. It is an initiative by Cougar Motorsport in North India that is a brain child of professionals from large organizations who feel motorsports can make executive life quite exciting. The event is cleared by FMSCI and leading auto journalist Murad Ali Baig is also competing. There are 36 competitors of which eight are women. The participating vehicles include permium SUV cars like BMW X5, Porsche Cayenne, Volkswagen Touareg, Mercedes M Class, Mercedes E Class, Mitsubishi Montero, Pajero & Outlander, Toyota Prado & Land Cruiser, Honda CRV and Ford Endeavour among others
“The Desert Dash is a unique event that combines the thrill of motorsports with the luxury of fine, hand-picked hotels. Set in Rajasthan’s exquisite desert, it promises a truly memorable experience that has never been offered before in India,” says the event page on Facebook. The motorsport event was officially flagged off from Hotel Aman, New Delhi-Kuchaman Fort-Lallgarh Palace and will end at Laxmi Niwas Palace Bikaner-Khimsar Fort, Amanbagh. The complete route encompasses on-road and off-road path testing competence of the vehicles as well as competitors. The participants are CEOs, golf club members, senior executives and business owners.
