Tata Motors, one of the leading automobile companies in India, has planned to increase the sales of its popular Nano, world’s cheapest car. The company has introduced a new scheme to boost the sales of its model in the small car.

Under the new scheme, customers interested in purchasing Tata Nano can bring in their old two wheelers and receive an exchange bonus of Rs. 20,000. On the other hand, if buyers exchange their four-wheelers, then they would qualify for a Rs. 25,000 discount. This offer would be on top of the Rs. 10,000 exchange discount that the company already offers for the Nano.

It is the first time that any automobile company is offering the exchange bonus on two-wheelers. With this impressive scheme, Tata Motors will give the ideal opportunity to two-wheeler owners looking to upgrade to a car, its target audience.

The Nano carries an initial price tag of Rs. 1.27 lacs and its latest edition has significantly improved sales figures in recent times. According to sales figures, the company was able to sell 6,401 units of the new Tata Nano in a month. This is an impressive figure because only 509 units were sold in November 2010.

Keeping feedback of its customers in mind, Tata Motors has made changes in the exteriors of the car and come up with an attractive model at the same price tag. The 2012 Tata Nano comes with the displacement of 624 cc that is capable of producing the peak power of 37 hp and maximum torque of 51 Nm.
