Hyundai India has launched the new 2023 Verna in India at a starting price of Rs 10.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The sedan is available in nine colour options and four trim levels, including EX, S, SX, and SX(O). And for the powertrains, the Verna is being offered with two petrol engine choices.
Design of new Verna:
Regarding the design changes, the all-new Verna now features an LED light bar running across the width of the front — above the grille, new dual-tone alloy wheels, a uniquely designed LED tail light setup, a LED light strip on the tailgate, and a revised front and rear bumper.
Features:
In terms of features, the new Verna comes with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, all-digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, ventilated and heated front seats, eight-speaker Bose-sourced music system, ambient lighting, wireless charger, electric sunroof, and more.
Safety:
For safety, the mid-size sedan comes equipped with the Hyundai SmartSense level 2 ADAS, six airbags, ESC, HAC, all-disc brakes, electronic parking brakes, front parking sensors, cornering lamps, TPMS, and over 65 other safety features.
Engine specification of new Verna:
Mechanically, the new-gen Verna is powered by a 1.5-litre NA petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. The former produces 113bhp and 144Nm of torque, while the latter delivers 158bhp and 253Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are carried out by a six-speed manual unit, an iVT unit, and a seven-speed DCT gearbox.
